The 2021 edition in Yekaterinburg

Paradox. Russian sport is threatened with exclusion from the Olympic movement, but the country continues to win major events on the international calendar. As proof, the announcement of the organization in Yekaterinburg, the fourth largest city in Russia by population, of the 2021 edition of SportAccord. The international convention will take place from May 23 to 28, 2021 at the IEC Convention Center Yekaterinburg-Exhibition. SportAccord will return to Russia six years after the 2015 edition which was held in Sochi, the city of the Winter Games in 2014. Yekaterinburg hosted World Cup matches in 2018, but also the AIBA World Boxing Championships in 2019. It will organize the Summer Universiade in 2023. As a reminder, the next edition of SportAccord will be held from April 19 to 24, 2020 in Beijing.
