The IBA remains loyal to the Persian Gulf and extends its lease with the United Arab Emirates. The body chaired by Russian Umar Kremlev announces that its annual congress for 2023 will take place on December 9 in Dubai. It will be organized in a hybrid format, in person and remotely, and will coincide with two other annual highlights of the IBA, the Global Boxing Forum and the Night of Champions. Last year, these three events took place in Abu Dhabi. The 2023 ordinary congress of the IBA will not be elective, but it will be marked by the appointment of a new member of the board of directors, a woman from the American Boxing Confederation (AMBC).
