The Netherlands seems to want to occupy an ever greater place in the world of skating. Meeting in Geneva, the Council of the International Skating Union (ISU) decided, Tuesday October 16, the allocation of three major events on the 2021 calendar. Two of them will take place in the Netherlands , the country of ISU President Jan Dijkema. The Short Track World Championships will be held in Rotterdam, from March 12 to 14, 2021. The European Speed Skating Championships have been awarded to Heerenveen (January 18 to 21, 2021). The ISU Council has entrusted the organization of a third event, the World Junior Figure Skating Championships, to the Chinese city of Harbin (March 1 to 7, 2021).
