D – 4 in Bangkok before the opening on Sunday April 15 of the 2018 edition of SportAccord. At the time of the final preparations at the Centara Grand & Convention Centre, the Thai capital has been hosting the 10th biannual conference of RADOs, the regional anti-doping organizations, for two days since Tuesday April 5. Organized by WADA in collaboration with the Association of Asian Olympic Committees (OCA), the event is marked by interventions by the Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, Weerasak Kowsurat, and the Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, Sakon Wannapong, and many anti-doping experts.
Happy coincidence of the calendar: the 2018 edition of SportAccord will innovate with the addition to the program of a conference dedicated to health issues. HealthAccord, the first of its kind, will take place during the afternoon of Thursday, April 19 at the Centara Grand & Convention Center in Bangkok. The organizers of SportAccord imagined and designed it as a continuation of the success of the Forum of International Federations in 2016, where the question of the role of sport for public health at the global level was discussed at length. The first edition of HealthAccord is placed under the following theme: The power of sport, the power to change.
