Revelations continue in the case of alleged corruption linked to the Tokyo 2020 Games. According to several sources “ close to the file", Haruyuki Takahashi (photo above), former member of the board of directors of Tokyo 2020, and the clothing company Aoki Holdings, official partner of the Games, maintained very close and very regular relations until shortly before the start of the Olympic event. Haruyuki Takahashi and Hironori Aoki, the founder and former president of the company in his name, met frequently at a Tokyo restaurant owned by the former. They also often played golf together. During its investigation, the prosecutor's team in charge of the case discovered that Aoki Holdings regularly relied on Haruyuki Takahashi for its commercial operations and promotion of its Olympic collection. The Japanese brand would have notably asked the former boss of the Dentsu agency for projections on sales linked to the Tokyo Games, in order to be able to adjust the production of its official costumes and jackets. Haruyuki Takahashi continues to deny corruption suspicions. He repeats that the payments received from Aoki by his consulting firm, totaling nearly $380.000, had nothing to do with the Tokyo Games, but constituted a “ compensation for advice, particularly on golfing activity"
