The organizers of the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, set the tone. They chose to celebrate the date of D – 100 days before the start of the event (July 26 to August 11, 2019), Tuesday April 16, by organizing a large open-air concert in the Peruvian capital. It was marked by the reveal of the official song of the next Pan American Games, “Jugamos Todos” (“Let’s all play”), composed and performed by Peruvian rocker Pedro Suárez-Vértiz. According to the official press release, the official anthem of the Games is supposed to illustrate “ the spirit of camaraderie and unity” between the delegations of the 41 countries present at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima.
