The United Nations health agency warned on Tuesday August 6 that infections are rising sharply around the world, and that the Paris 2024 Games are not safe. Globally, the test positivity rate is above 10%, but it reaches an average above 20% in Europe. Questioned Wednesday morning at a press conference, the spokesperson for the COJO Paris 2024, Anne Descamps, did not confirm the figure of 40 cases in the athletes' village. She just reiterated that delegations were regularly reminded of the importance of following the health recommendations of the WHO and the organizers.
