The annual convention of the European Athletics Association (EAA) began in Tallinn, Estonia, with a gala dinner attended by two of the contenders for the IAAF presidency, Sergei Bubka and Sebastian Coe. This convention was an opportunity for the Balkan Association to welcome three new member countries, Slovenia, Georgia and Cyprus.
