Climate, social impact… The finalists of the UCI Cycling for All and Sustainability Trophies

The UCI Cycling for All and Sustainability Trophies are celebrating their second edition this year. With these awards, the International Cycling Union recognizes the initiatives of members of the cycling family who have a positive social and environmental impactThe list of finalists is now known. The UCI Climate Action Trophy will be played between the Arctic Race of Norway, the first professional race using exclusively 100% electric cars, the Flanders Classics organization, for its Sustainable Development Plan for the 2025 European Road Championships, and the team UAE Team Emirates-XRG, committed to reducing its carbon footprint via the Road to Net-Zero initiative.

Among the finalists of the UCI Bike for All Trophy, which rewards an initiative with a significant social impact, include British Cycling for its Limitless program, the UAE Team Emirates-XRG team for its Academy, established with the objective of develop cycling in the United Arab Emirates, and finally the Southern Scotland Region Partnership and the Scottish Marches Council, for their fund for accessibility of electrically assisted bicycles.

Last category: the UCI Bike City Trophy, which rewards the most innovative project of the UCI Bike City and UCI Bike Region labeled communities. Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) are in the running for the organization of the MyWhoosh 2025 Ramadan Cycling Championship, the province of Treviso (Italy) for its Bike to Work – IPA Marca Trevigiana initiative, as well as Wollongong (Australia) for its Community Partnership Program. The UCI will announce the winners at the UCI Bike City and Mobility Forum 2025, which will be held on June 20 and 21 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
