A habit. As with the last winter edition, organized at the start of the year in Lake Placid (United States), the 2023 World University Games in Chengdu, China (July 28 to August 8), will have its contingent of young reporters. They will be selected by the International University Sports Federation (FISU), the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), and local organizers. Seven international candidates will be chosen by FISU and AIPS, with the organizing committee selecting twelve young Chinese reporters. The international candidates selected at the end of the selection process will be headed by two “ high-level mentors » who will assign them their daily tasks. During the first week of the Games, they will also attend morning lectures given by media professionals. Once the event begins, their work will be very digitally oriented, with a publication of their topics on FISU.tv, fisu.net and the social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, TikTok – of the international body of college sports. Clarification: the young reporters program follows a policy of gender equality, selecting the same number of women and men for this edition. Deadline to apply: April 14, 2023. Candidates must be available between July 23 and August 9, 2023.
