On Friday April 26, UEFA kicked off the application process for Euro 2020 football, which will be organized exceptionally this year in 13 cities in different countries. European football's governing body has sent a letter to its national federations inviting them to apply and published rules governing the process. The federations therefore have until midnight on September 12 to officially indicate the interest of one or two cities in their territory. UEFA will then sort it out and announce on September 20 which of them are authorized to be candidates. Application files must be submitted no later than April 25, 2014 and the UEFA executive committee will elect the 13 selected cities at its meeting the following September.
