Ukrainian Sergei Bubka, candidate for IOC presidency, expressed his desire on Wednesday to extend the period of suspension for doping athletes, bringing it to four years. “We must not find excuses for those who take drugs. We must go from two years of suspension to four years” for a first violation of the anti-doping regulations, he suggested.
