Boston and Prague win the Worlds

The Council of the International Skating Union (ISU), meeting in Lausanne from October 9 to 12, filled several boxes on the calendar for the last two seasons of the current Olympiad. It has awarded some of the most coveted figure skating events. For the 2024-2025 financial year, the last before the Milan-Cortina Winter Games, the European Championships will take place in Zagreb, Croatia, from January 20 to 26, while the Worlds have been awarded to the city American in Boston (March 24 to 30). For the 2025-2026 season, the European Championships will be held in Sheffield, Great Britain, from January 12 to 18. The world championships, scheduled after the Winter Games, have been awarded to Prague, Czech Republic. The competition will take place from March 23 to 29, 2026. The ISU had already announced that the World Figure Skating Championships would take place in 2023 in Saitama, Japan, with the next edition scheduled for 2024 in Montreal, Canada.
