Switzerland will propose Basel's candidacy for the organization of Euro 2020 football matches played for the first time throughout Europe, the Swiss Football Association (ASF) announced on Friday. If successful, the matches would be played at Parc Saint-Jacques, an arena with a capacity of 38.500 seats where one of the semi-finals of the Euro football tournament was played in 2008. The candidate cities have until until September 12 to come forward. The UEFA executive committee will announce its decision in September 2014.
