No names have yet been revealed among the 23 positive cases discovered by the IOC at the end of its new analysis of samples from the London 2012 Games, but 8 of the athletes involved are believed to be of Russian origin. The Russian Olympic Committee made the announcement, without revealing their identity, simply indicating that they represented three different sports. According to the website sports.ru, several Russian leaders have confided that 3 or 4 of these athletes would see their results from the 2012 Games erased from the list in the coming weeks.
