Asanga Chandana Seneviratne is the new president of Sri Lanka National Olympic CommitteeHe was elected with 16 votes, against 11 for Jaswar Umaru, president of the Sri Lankan Football Federation, and two for Shirantha Peries, vice-president of the National Shooting Sports Federation. Asanga Chandana Seneviratne, president of the Sri Lanka Baseball and Softball Association, succeeds Suresh Subramaniam, who led the NOC for the past eight years.
Rifdy Fahmy was elected secretary general Facing Nishanthe Piyasena (17 votes to 13), Ajith Siyambalapitiya was chosen for the position of treasurer. The NOC also announced the identities of its four vice-presidents for the term running until 2030: Niloo Jayatilake, Iqbal Bin Issack, Prithiviraj Perera, and Sarath Hewawitharana.
