Mikhail Butov, Secretary General of the Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF), told the agency TASS: 10 Russian athletes have already sent an individual request to the IAAF to participate in the Rio Games. The Russian leader did not reveal their identity, but this first contingent would notably include the reigning world champions Marya Kuchina and Sergei Shubenkov, respectively titled last year in the height and 110m hurdles.
