The Asian Athletics Association has a new president, the sixth in history. And he comes from Qatar. General Dahlan Al-Hamad was elected to the presidency on the 20rd AAA Congress held in India. Already president of the Qatar Athletics Federation, and vice-president of the IAAF, he succeeds the Indian Suresh Kalmadi, in office since 2000.
