The organizers of the next Pan American Games, scheduled for July 26 to August 11, 2019 in Lima (Peru), are taking inspiration from the IOC. They announce that they have put in place an observer program, comparable to that offered at each edition of the Olympic Games, summer and winter. In Lima, the program will take place from July 30 to August 2, 2019. It is intended for representatives of the organizing committees of future multisport events. The Japanese from Tokyo 2020 have already confirmed their participation, as have the Chileans from Santiago 2023, the next edition of the Pan American Games. The Lima 2019 Observer Program is designed to allow participants to familiarize themselves with key concepts of the organization, through presentations, discussions and site visits, but also more one-on-one exchanges with leaders and experts from the steering Committee.
