The sporting Francophonie is finding color again. As proof, the creation of the International Francophone Network for Sport (RIFS). Unsurprisingly, the initiative comes from Africa, more particularly from Ivory Coast. The RIFS aims to be “ an international platform for meeting, exchanging and sharing the values embodied and defended by the French-speaking world: solidarity, cultural diversity, democracy, human rights... and this, around sport and culture. » It has set several objectives, including the promotion of peace and development through meetings and exchanges between French-speaking athletes. This new network also aims to promote the emergence of young talents from all French-speaking sporting disciplines on the international scene, but also to contribute to the preparation of the next generation of French-speaking sportspeople with a view to their participation in other major sporting events.
