Bad times for the American athletics federation and the Olympic committee. The two organizations are being sued by a brand of sports equipment set up by an athlete, middle-distance runner Nick Symmonds, and his coach, Sam Lapray. The two men filed a complaint before the courts of the state of Oregon, invoking the antitrust law in force in the United States. They criticize the USATF and the USOC for requiring athletes competing in the American Olympic trials to display only the logos of brands approved by the two institutions on their jerseys.
