Is this a Paris 2024 effect? Less than eight months before the opening of the next Summer Games, the sporting Francophonie is finding a new lease of life. It is organized and structured. As proof, the creation of the International Association of French-speaking Sports Unions (AIUSF). It was decided by the participants in the first seminar for leaders of French-speaking sports unions, organized at the end of November in Espalion, in Aveyron (France). It brought together around forty representatives from 13 French-speaking sports unions, covering disciplines such as athletics, skateboarding, badminton, fencing, wrestling, squash, surfing, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis , archery, triathlon and adapted sport. The seminar was also marked by the presence of representatives of the Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports of the Francophonie (CONFEJES), the COJO Paris 2024, the International Committee of the Games of the Francophonie (CIJF), the Francophone Association of national Olympic committees (AFCNO), the French Ministry of Sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the French (CPSF) and Ivorian (CPCI) national Paralympic committees, and the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF). Objective of the new association: to promote sport and para sport in the French-speaking world, while defending the common interests of French-speaking sports unions.
