The International Cycling Union (UCI) is turning more and more clearly towards China. The organization chaired by Briton Brian Cookson has signed a partnership agreement with the Chinese company Wanda Sports, a subsidiary of the Dalian Wanda group, a conglomerate with activities as diverse as tourism, cinema, finance and mass distribution. The agreement notably provides for the creation of a 6-day stage race in Guangxi in October, the hosting of the UCI Gala every year in China, and the creation of a training center young Chinese runners.
