The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) is rounding out the year by strengthening its organisation. Its commercial and events arm, World Table Tennis (WTT), has announced the arrival of Algerian Mounir Bessah (pictured above) as Executive Director of Events. He will take up his duties on 1 January 2025, with the mission of leading strategic planning and overseeing the organisation of competitions on the WTT calendar. Mounir Bessah was previously Deputy Secretary General of the ITTF, having previously been responsible for the organisation’s World Championships. He will be assisted in his new role by Singaporean Shaun Nik, who has been promoted to Senior Director of Events and Experience at the WTT.
