Certainly not decisive, but still expected: the IOC has revealed the order of passage of the seven candidates for its presidency for the grand oral before the members of the body, on January 30, 2025 in Lausanne. It was decided by a draw organized on Monday, November 25, before a notary, by the ethics commission. This same order of passage will then be used in all subsequent official documents relating to the campaign. A process which, the body specifies, must " ensure fairness and transparency when candidates present their vision for the future of the IOC. » The order of appearances for the January 30 presentation will be: Feisal Al Hussein, David Lappartient, Johan Eliasch, Juan Antonio Samaranch, Kirsty Coventry, Sebastian Coe, Morinari Watanabe. The election for the IOC presidency is scheduled to take place during the next session, held from March 18 to 21 in Greece. The president-elect will succeed Thomas Bach at the end of his term in June 2025.
