A training camp and a World Cup on the Cortina track

Milan-Cortina 2026

Will the sliding track for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games be ready on time? The International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) no longer seems to doubt it. It has just published the provisional calendar of the World Cup for the 2025-2026 season. It foresees that the circuit will start on the Eugenio Monti track in Cortina d'Ampezzo, currently being renovated for the Winter Games in 2026 (photo above). An international training camp of around ten days will be organized on the Olympic site, at the initiative of the IBSF, to allow athletes and teams to familiarize themselves with the new Italian track. It will be followed, from 17 to 23 November 2025, by the first stage of the World Cup in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The world circuit then stops in Innsbruck, Lillehammer, Winterberg, St. Moritz, before a break for the Winter Games, then a finale in Königssee, Germany, from March 2 to 8, 2026.
