Less than four years before the Los Angeles 2028 Games, where the discipline is due to make its debut as an additional sport, the International Squash Federation (World Squash) has revealed the figures for the next World Team Championships, scheduled for December 9-15 in Hong Kong. They are breaking records, with the announced participation of 195 of the best players on the planet. For the first time in history, the competition will bring together the men's and women's events on the same dates and in the same venue – the Hong Kong Football Club. Twenty-three national teams will participate in the women's tournament. There will be 26 in the men's competition. World Squash will take advantage of the World Team Championships to organize its annual general meeting on Saturday, December 14. It will be elective. The British Zena Wooldridge is assured of retaining the presidency of the body, since she has no opposition. On the other hand, no fewer than six candidates will compete for the two vacant vice-presidential seats.
