The upcoming international indoor season promises to be historic. At least in terms of the calendar. World Athletics has released the key dates and figures for the World Indoor Tour, the indoor winter meeting circuit. For the 2025 edition, it will feature more than 60 competitions in Europe, Asia and North America. The tour had just seven meetings in 2020. It now has 61. For the year 2025, the World Indoor Tour will begin on January 2 in Tallinn, Estonia, and conclude on March 13 in Uppsala, Sweden. The top tier of the pyramid, the gold meetings, will feature a record nine competitions, with the first stop in Astana, Kazakhstan, on January 25, and the last in Madrid on February 28. In each of the disciplines on the World Indoor Tour programme, the athlete with the highest number of points at the end of the tour will be declared the winner and will receive a bonus of $10.000, along with a wild card for the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China (March 21-23, 2025).
