They are here! The medals of the Chengdu World Games Series (March 28-30) were unveiled on Monday. They include several symbols of China and the city, including a panda, a hibiscus flower, a bamboo, Jinyun Tower and Tianfu International Airport, "symbolizing Chengdu's connectivity to the world". These medals "perfectly reflect the essence of Chengdu and the spirit of the World Games Series", rejoices the president of the IWGA, Jose Perurena. They pay tribute to the dedication and achievements of the athletes while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the host city using iconic elements." The event will attract 128 athletes in diving, lifesaving and bowling sports. More than 25 countries will participate in this qualifying competition for the World Games.
