A new recruit for audiovisual rights

World Rugby is getting stronger. With one priority: to expand the broadcast of its major events, including the men's and women's World Cups. The international body announces the recruitment of Briton Chris Synnott as head of audiovisual and media rights sales. A newly created position at World Rugby headquarters in Dublin. A lawyer by training, Chris Synnot worked at T.E.A.M Marketing as TV and commercial director, where he notably oversaw the sale of global rights to the Champions League and the Europa Football League. Prior to joining World Rugby, he led the media rights department at WRC Promoter GmbH, the world rally championship, where he had responsibility for global sales, distribution and exploitation across all media platforms.
