The Association of Asian Olympic Committees (OCA) continues to grow. Its president, Sheikh Ahmad al-Fahad al-Sabah, also president of ANOC, inaugurated a new office in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. The continental organization already had one in Jakarta, Indonesia. It could soon open ones in India and Kazakhstan. A geographical deployment decided by the OCA executive committee in order to compensate for tensions between the Olympic movement and Kuwait, where the organization has its headquarters. As a reminder, the Kuwait National Olympic Committee was suspended by the IOC at the end of 2015 for political interference.
