Casting change at the Athletes' Commission of the Association of European Olympic Committees (EOC). An athlete leaves, a triathlete arrives. Briton Alistair Brownlee, Olympic triathlon champion in 2012 and 2016, was elected president of the commission, where he succeeds Estonian discus thrower Gerd Kanter. The election took place during the 7th Forum and General Assembly of European Athletes in Rome. In addition to the Briton, the EOC Athletes' Commission will be made up of Slovak archer Alexandra Miskovska-Longova, Serbian pistol shooter Zoruna Arunovic and German kayaker Ronald Rauhe for summer sports, the Estonian biathlete Johanna Taliharm completing the group as winter sports representative. The five members elected in Rome will serve a two-year term. Alistair Brownlee was already a member of the IOC Athletes' Commission.
