A Brisbane 2032 effect? Less than six months before the opening of the Paris 2024 Games, the Australian Olympic Committee can rub its hands: the country's authorities want to play the Olympic card to the fullest. The body announces that it has received an exceptional contribution of 375000 Australian dollars (227000 euros at current prices) from the Western Australian government. It directly concerns the Paris 2024 Games. The grant was announced by the Prime Minister of the State, Roger Cook, and the Minister of Sports and Leisure, David Templeman. It comes with additional direct payments to Western Australian athletes who will wear the country's colors in the French capital.
