The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) wants to modernize its practices. It announced from Montreal, Canada, its intention to launch a call for proposals on the development of a new Anti-Doping Management and Administration System (ADAMS), which will be put into operation in 2016. ADAMS is a center for global anti-doping information that simplifies the daily activities of organizations and athletes involved in anti-doping. The system contains more than 264.000 athlete profiles and is currently used by nearly 50.000 athletes. The development of the new version, which will be launched in 2016 after the entry into force of the revised Code, aims to further facilitate the administration and coordination of practices that protect clean sport. This new version promises to offer more flexibility to the anti-doping community, as well as enhanced features, including greater administrative capabilities, a progressive intelligence collection process, an investigation collaboration mechanism, an expanded analysis function and research, and the possibility of coupling its use with that of other anti-doping management systems.
