A museum to celebrate the PyeongChang Games

PyeongChang 2018

Three years after the event, the legacy of the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games takes on a very historic dimension in South Korea. A museum entirely dedicated to the Olympic and Paralympic event opened its doors on Sunday February 7. It was built on the site of the temporary stadium where the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games were held, in the city of PyeongChang, 180 kilometers east of Seoul. The three-story building houses around 800 artifacts, including a replica of the Olympic torch, commemorative medals and uniforms from the opening and closing ceremonies. Also on display is the Korean unification flag, behind which athletes from South and North Korea marched together at the opening.
