The race is almost over for the award of the Pan American Games in 2027. After withdrawing the organization from Baranquillo, the Colombian city having repeatedly failed in its obligations as host of the event, Panam Sports will decide on Tuesday 12 March for an alternative solution. Two files are in competition, presented respectively by Lima, in Peru, and Asuncion, in Paraguay. Before the vote, where each of the two cities will have 40 minutes to present its vision and its assets, a delegation of experts and officials from Panam Sports must go this week for an inspection visit to the two applicants.
