The legacy of the Tokyo 2020 Games promises to be very athletic. As proof, the organization last weekend of a half-marathon intended to mark one year after the last Summer Games. Called the “Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon,” it brought together 14.000 runners, including several elite athletes who participated in the Olympic and Paralympic marathons last year. The journey began and ended at the National Stadium, where the ceremonies and athletics events of the Tokyo 2020 Games took place. The Tokyo Half Marathon will now be held every year in remembrance of the Games.
