EOC

The Association of European Olympic Committees (EOC) convened its executive committee (photo above) at the end of last week, on the sidelines of the 16th edition of the winter European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF), organized from January 21 to 28 in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Spyros Capralos, the president of the EOC, took the opportunity to submit a series of reforms to the vote, including the limitation to a maximum of three mandates for all executive committee members. The proposal was adopted unanimously. It was also proposed, and accepted with equal unanimity, to recruit a director general to direct the day-to-day operations of the continental body. The executive committee also confirmed that the EOC would meet in seminar this year. It will be held on May 12 and 13 in Paris. Finally, the EOC announced that it had already received applications for hosting the EYOF in 2027, both for winter and summer.
