It was to be expected: the first day of the IAAF taskforce’s visit to Russia took place in a climate described by international experts as “frank and open”. Rune Andersen and his three IAAF acolytes, Frankie Fredericks, Abby Hoffman and Anna Riccardi, spent the entire day of Monday January 11 in Moscow with representatives of the Athletics Federation and the Ministry of Sports of Russia. Their inspection visit continues this Tuesday, January 12.
