The timing is perfect. The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and the Portuguese Olympic Committee have taken advantage of the date, exactly one month before the ANOC General Assembly to be held in the Portuguese city of Cascais, to launch the official website for the event. After a 2023 edition initially planned for Bali but ultimately cancelled (as were the World Beach Games), the General Assembly will be the first since Seoul in 2022. It will take place on 30 and 31 October and is expected to bring together more than 800 representatives from the National Olympic Committees, the IOC, international federations and the Olympic Games organising committees. It will notably be an opportunity for the Paris 2024 OCOG to deliver a final report to the Olympic movement. The evening of 30 October will be marked by the presentation of the annual ANOC awards to the best athletes and teams of the Paris 2024 Games. The General Assembly will be preceded, on 28 October, by a meeting of the ANOC Executive Council.
