The 76th annual congress of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) begins this Monday, April 15, in the future Olympic Park in Sochi, Russia. Sports journalists and delegates from 113 countries are present for the event, the opening speech of which is to be delivered by the Russian Minister of Sport, Vitaly Mutko. The congress will be an opportunity to elect the members of the Executive Committee. The fight should not take place for the presidency, occupied by the Italian Gianni Merlo, the only candidate for his own succession.
