The Italian Ski Federation could soon change its mind. Manuela Di Centa, one of the country's most famous athletes, seven times Olympic medalist in cross-country skiing, took advantage of the Sochi Games to announce her candidacy for president. The former cross-country skier has already served an eight-year term at the IOC, of which she is now an honorary member. And she served in the Italian Parliament. Elections to the Italian Ski Federation are scheduled for April 12, 2014 in Modena.
