A bridge between Paris and Brisbane

Eight years separate them from their edition of the Olympic Games, but France and Australia have decided to make common cause. Just over 100 days before the opening of the Paris 2024 Games (D – 112), the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) announces the launch of a program bringing together French and Australian high schools. Named “ Amis 2024″, it aims to promote exchanges between secondary schools in the two countries, via correspondence, video calls and classroom exercises, for a period of eight weeks, in the run-up to the Olympics and Paralympics in France. The program is free. Intended for students aged 12 to 15, it is aimed at all Australian schools with a French learning curriculum. “ Amis 2024 » takes up a comparable initiative, launched by Australia before the Tokyo 2020 Games. It brought together 300 schools in Japan and as many in Australia.
