Predictably: the Paris 2024 Games are inspiring publishers. Their champions, their images, but also the less visible side, the organization. The first books dedicated to the Olympic and Paralympic event have already been in bookstores for several weeks. The next one on the list, announced by Fayard for January 22, 2025, is surely not the least expected since it is the work of a major player in the organizing committee: Romain Lachens, the executive director of engagement. Its title: “From France that complains to France that wins.”According to its publisher, the story " dive behind the scenes »of the Paris 2024 Games, with anecdotes " never told, ranging from technical unforeseen events to the opening ceremony on the Seine, including the involvement of emblematic figures such as Zinédine Zidane, Teddy Riner and Rafael Nadal." The book also aims to raise the question of the lasting impact on French society, in terms of social ties, national pride and heritage. Romain Lachens has accompanied the Paris 2024 adventure since the candidacy phase.
