South Korean athletes and their management can rub their hands: the Ministry of Sports announced on Monday March 19 its decision to increase its participation and results bonuses at the PyeongChang Olympic and Paralympic Games. In total, the Seoul government will distribute the value of 3,3 billion won to members of the delegation, or approximately 2,5 million euros. A gold medal will be rewarded with the sum of 63 million won (€48.000), silver receiving 30 million (€23.000) and bronze 25 million (€19.000). Coaches will also receive bonuses, which vary depending on the results of their athletes. But they will all be rewarded. Clarification: the bonuses distributed by the State will be identical for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
