One Moroccan chases the other at the Confederation of African Football (CAF). After the resignation at the beginning of the week of Mouad Hajji from his position as secretary general, for “personal reasons”, the continental body announced the appointment of his compatriot Abdelmounaïm Bah (photo above) to succeed him. The Moroccan will have to act as interim manager. It was chosen at the end of an emergency committee so as to “ unanimous,” according to a CAF press release. “ All members have full confidence in Mr. Abdelmounaïm Bah in view of the qualities displayed since his arrival at the Confederation of African Football, particularly during the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt. insists the press release. The interim secretary general will have to reconcile his new position with his position as commercial director of the African organization, which he has held since June 2018. He takes up his functions immediately and should retain them at least until the next meeting of the CAF executive committee.
