A Moroccan in general management

UCI

Presidents change, but the feminization of cycling continues. As proof, the appointment of the Moroccan Amina Lanaya to the post of general director of the UCI. Proposed by David Lappartient, it was validated by the steering committee last week during its first meeting of the year in Valkenburg, the Netherlands. A lawyer by training, Amina Lanaya practiced in international law firms in Paris and Switzerland, before joining the UCI more than 12 years ago. A polyglot, the Moroccan headed the legal service and the UCI sports arbitration panel, before being appointed in 2013 to the position of deputy general director.
