It’s now official: the next edition of the America’s Cup, in 2017 in Bermuda, will see the presence of a Japanese challenge. Sponsored by the Japanese holding company Softbank, he will represent the Kansai Yacht Club and will participate this year in the America's Cup World Series (ACWS), the preparatory regattas. The Japanese bid was announced by Kazuhiko Sofuku, named general manager of SoftBank Team Japan, the official name of the team.
