A Finn on the athletes' commission

Skating

The new International Skating Union (ISU) Athletes’ Commission is now complete. The Finnish Ida Hellström is the latest entrant. She will represent the discipline of synchronized skating, after being elected by her peers during the last World Championships. With 278 votes, she was clearly ahead of her only rival, the Swede Nathalie Lindqvist (130 votes). She joins an athletes' commission also made up of Canadian Eric Radford (individual and pairs figure skating), Dutchman Douwe de Vries (speed skating), Chinese Zhou Yang (short track), and Belarusian Yuri Hulitski (dance on ice).
