The International Canoe Federation (ICF) does business in China. It announces that it has entered into a partnership with BYD, the largest manufacturer of electric cars in the world. It was signed at the company's headquarters in the city of Shenzhen. Surprise: the agreement concerns more particularly the dragon boat discipline, very popular in China, included next year in the program of the Chengdu World Games. Under the terms of the contract, BYD becomes a global partner of dragon boating, one of the ten disciplines of the ICF, present on the international calendar with an annual World Cup and world championship. It will notably be presented at the Paris 2024 Games, with three boats supplied by BYD. They will be put in the water for demonstrations during the breaks in the canoe-kayak sprint finals program, from August 8 to 10 in Vaires-sur-Marne.
